Agadir to Marrakech & Merzouga desert 8 Day Trip

Day 1: Agadir

By arrival at the airport of Agadir you will find our driver who will take you to your hotel or Riad.

Day 2: Agadir – Taroudant – Ouarzazate

In the morning we leave Agadir en travel direction Ouarzazate (the Sahara Gate). Along our journey, we go for a visit of the old city and market place of Taroudant, known as ‘little Marrakesh’. We continue for Taliouine, known for his saffron. We travel on for Ouarzazate through the Atlas Mountains along an enchanting and varied landscape and little Berber villages. We take a break in Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, the most beautiful Kasbah of Morocco (a Unesco World Heritage site). You will have dinner and overnight stay at the Riad in Ouarzazate.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Rissani – Merzouga

After breakfast we drive to Dades Gorge through Rose Valley and the palm trees (route of the 1000 kasbah’s). The journey goes on to Merzouga (Sahara desert) through the Todra Valley. We stop for lunch and take a walk in the Todra Gorge, the most beautiful gorge of Morocco. We drive on to Merzouga (Sahara desert) across a beautiful desert landscape. We pass Rissani, known for its kasbah’s and oases. In the afternoon we arrive at Merzouga where we take dinner and stay the night at the hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Erg Chebbi (Sand Dunes)

You will get up early in the morning to see the spectacular sunrise in the desert dunes. Than go back to the hotel to enjoy your breakfast. You will stay in Rissani where you will visit the Souk of Rissani. About 16:00 we go back to Merzouga where you can make a camel trip in the desert. For dinner you will have a traditional Berber tagine. You’ll spend the night in a Berber tent under a starry sky.

Day 5: Merzouga – Alnif – N’kob – Zagora

After breakfast you leave Merzouga and travel direction Zagora through Alnif, Tazarine, beautiful desert landscapes, oases and little Berber villages. We spent the night in a hotel with view over the beautiful valley.

Day 6: Zagora – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

You leave Zagora en continue direction Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley en Agdz. In Ouarzazate we visit the film studio. We continue for Marrakesh across the Pass of Tizi n’Tichka (2260 m) over the High Atlas Mountains. We stop to take lunch. Dinner will be served in a local restaurant in Jemaa-El-Fna, you will stay the night in a Riad.

Day 7: Marrakech Guided Tour

During this day you will explore the city of Marrakesh. After breakfast, you visit, under the guidance of an english speaker guide, the Koutoubia mosque, the Palace of Bahia and Menara. In the afternoon you will visit the Jemaa-El-Fna square (the beating heart of Marrakech) and the colourful and scented alleys of the Souk. Dinner is served in Jemaa – El – Fna, where you will stay the night in a Riad or Hotel.

Day 8: Marrakech - Agadir

In the morning we leave Marrakech to Agadir for your flight back home.
