Marrakech to Merzouga Desert 4 Days Sahara Tour

Day 1: Marrakesh- High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben haddou - Ouarzazate - Boumalane Dades

Our first meeting will be held in the morning in your riad/hotel in Marrakesh and then we will head to Ouarzazate. We will cross the High Atlas Mountains through Tizi n’Tishka path, before arriving at Ouarzazate where we will visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah the UNESCO World Heritage Site which includes spectacular architecture. Many movies have been filmed here such as Alexander 2004, Babel 2006, and the Last Temptation of Christ 1988. After lunch, we will enjoy historical and architectural memorials of Taourirt Kasbah and you will visit the Atlas Studios in Quarzazate which is one of the largest movie studios in Morocco. Then we will leave Ouarzazate toward Dades Gorge and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Skoura and valley roses. We will also pass over Kelaa des M’Gouna and Boumalane Dades and spend the night in Dades Gorge.

Day 2: Dades Gorge - Todgha Gorge - Tinjdad – Merzouga (Camel ride and night at desert camp)

After the charm of Boumalene Dades and its Gorge, we will then go to Merzouga and explore its magical beauty. Before arriving Merzouga we will pass through many different Berber villages such as Tinghir, and Todgha Gorge where the cliffs reach as high as (600m). Then we will go back to Toudgha Gorge, and pass over Tinjdad. In Tinjdad we will break for lunch (which is optional). After Tinjdad we will pass also through Malaab, Tourog, Erfoud and Rissani. On our way from Rissani to Merzouga you will camel trek and on our arrival to Merzouga you will reach your hotel where you will put your luggage. Then a professional camel man will take you by camel trek to the middle of the sand dunes where you will enjoy a wonderful night in Berber tents with fire, drums and fantastic ambience with the blue people of Morocco.

Day 3: Merzouga Sahara Desert - Ouarzazate

The camel man will wake you up early to ascend the sand dunes to see the beautiful sunrise and some pictures. Then we will go back to the camp by camel trek to hotel. We will break for a shower and have breakfast before continuing on our journey to Quarzazate which is nicknamed the “Door of the desert”. Afterwards we will pass through Alnif, Tazzarine, Nkoub and Daraa Valley. Overnight accommodation will be spent in Hotel Ouarzazate.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountain - Marrakech

After breakfast in Ouarzazate our destination will be direct to Marrakech passing over High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka bends and we will reach your riad/hotel. Here we will give you a questionnaire to complete so we can obtain feedback about our service.
