Itinerary Program
Day 1: Ouarzazate – Skoura oasis – Todra gorges – Erg Chebbi Merzouga
After picking you up we will drive to Skoura oasis only 40 Km from ouarzazate. An old oasis of thousands palm groves. We will carry on to valley of roses, the only place in Morocco where we harvest Damascus rose of which we extract some products like rose water and rose oil best for skin treatment and anti-wrinkles. Second valley is Dades valley or the valley of Thousands Kasbahs (in berber forts). We will visit the astonishing mountains in Todra valley and have a little walk in the gorges. Time for lunch then we head to the gate of the desert Arfoud or what the locals call the capital of fossils. You will have a chance to see how they polish the fossils and make some beautiful items out of rocks. These fossils are witnesses of an era of 5 hundred million years ago. Next place will be in Merzouga where you can go for a camel ride and enjoy the sunset in the beautiful red dunes of Erg Chebbi Overnight in private berber tent.Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Tazarine – Agdez – Ouarzazate
After breakfast we travel back to Ouarzazate throughout Rissani oasis. We visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif the fouder of the actual Alaouite Dynasty. It is started reigning over the country in the 17th century. We stop in the oasis of Tazarine or Alnif for lunch break. We also drive in deserted plateaus at the back side of the Anti-Atlas mountains To Agdez. From Agdez to ouarzazate 60km it is going to be a nice drive in the small Atlas Mountains with its lunar sceneries all the way to Ouarzazate.
